About Dawn
Bryant’s photos have placed as Best of Show, People’s Choice, runner up to best of show, first, second, third and honorable mention in local and statewide art contests in the past two years, and she received two honorable mentions in an international photo contest in 2000. She has also taken Grand Champion in both the photo and fine art divisions at the Lincoln County Fair. Bryant’s artwork is currently displayed at the Thedford Art Gallery, and has been exhibited in various shows at the North Platte Art and Gift Gallery; the Nebraskaland Days Show at the Platte River Mall in North Platte, NE; Odegard’s Art and Framing in North Platte, NE; and the Carnegie Arts Center in Alliance, NE. Bryant has also had several photos advance to the Nebraska State Art Show. Her photos and artwork grace corporate and private collections across the United States . Bryant is a member of the Thedford Art Gallery and Thedford Art Guild, as well as the North Platte Art Guild. When she is not working on her photographs or artwork, she loves playing with her husband and daughter, or enjoying outdoor activities. Bryant is a volunteer firefighter/EMT as well as a volunteer rescue diver.

Raised throughout the Midwest, Bryant is a self-taught artist who began taking photographs at the age of 13. She especially loves the photographic works of Ansel Adams. Bryant also works in pastels, colored pencil and mixed media. Bryant’s favorite artistic subjects are her daughter and the great outdoors, especially the scenery and wildlife of the Sandhills of Nebraska.
